Last First Week Craziness

This first week of school has been crazier than usual. My thoughts are all over the place as I just moved into my apartment this past Saturday. For the first time I had to have a random roommate since my friends graduated last year. I couldn’t have been any luckier with the girl I was assigned. We both have similar living styles and are getting along really well. We are also both business majors so we have been able to help each other out. Even though I miss my friends who left, I know they are going to do amazing things in their careers and they are just a phone call away. This is my last year at Ohio Northern so I want to be even more focused on my career goals. I am so grateful to be able to finally start applying to marketing jobs! I have been looking at job openings and at the upcoming fall career fair in between unpacking and organizing. This past week I have been moving decorations around and settling into my room. As an over packer, trying to fit all of my clothes into my closet has proven to be the most difficult challenge of all. Apparently my suits take up more room than I thought lol. Don’t even get me started on the struggles of trying to hang up all of my decorations which had to be perfectly level. Overall, the chaos of the first week of school has brought up excitement as to what will come and nervousness. I know that powering through this last year is going to be tough when the senioritis kicks in but I know it will all be worth it. Every year here at Ohio Northern never fails to give me memories that will last a lifetime. Now that everything seems to be settling down I get to finally enjoy a long weekend for labor day with my family and friends. Here's to the first week of school and at ONU!

  1. I feel your pain Lucie! It was so hard trying to get all of my stuff I brought to school this year into my dorm. I had to rearrange so many different times to fit my clothes, toiletries, accessories, trinkets, books and especially my keyboard. It almost didn't fit! But now my room is all decorated and I can get settled into school.
