Homecoming Weekend, Midterms, and a Little Less Sanity

This week has been crazy. Over the weekend, I was so excited for all of my friends to come up and visit for homecoming and my boyfriend was also able to come up and visit. I also was able to pay the pumpkin patch another visit for a fall date. So, naturally, that means we were going to pick out even more pumpkins and flowers. It was so nice to see him and all of my friends. It was nice to just be able to relax and do fun fall things like go to the homecoming tent and adding  more flowers to my apartment. Spending the weekend seeing my best friends and my boyfriend was just the boost I didn’t know I needed for the upcoming week ahead.

Now that the fun of homecoming has passed, midterms are just around the corner. Ultimately, I’m nervous to try and remember all the information for tests that are so close together. I have never understood why testing has become so imperative just to be able to pass classes. After graduation, employers will not have us taking tests so why can’t we show mastery of skills in a different way. Personally, I disagree with all of the tests being so close together and weighted so highly. I feel like that makes it harder to retain the information.

Even though I may hate the idea of midterms, that doesn’t stop them from coming. My first set of tests are over the next few days and I have been studying nonstop to try and remember content from the weeks before. Flashcards have been my best friend this week. I decided to try and make the best of the next couple of weeks and remember that fall break is coming up soon. Overall, I am going to try to make the best of the situation and get push through these next several days.
